Nestlé (now Blue Triton) has been pumping water from California's national forest for Arrowhead bottled water with expired permits since 1988. After exposure in 2015, regulators and environmentalists are challenging their water rights, with the Forest Service denying new permits in 2024.
Centuries of growth erased in hours. Big developers illegally cut down 17 of our precious trees without permit and are accountable. Developers renovating Lake Arrowhead Village cut these native trees in April 2025 without proper environmental permits. Residents are outraged and advocates claim developers violated California's Environmental Quality Act by skipping required reviews.
