This Friday: Highway Cleanup Event

A warm and snow free Hwy 18 has arrived ! After being snowed out of a hopeful March Highway 18 Clean Up, we are gathering to clean up our stretch of our Scenic Byway between Hortencias/Cliffhanger and Rimforest.   Who knows what snow play goodies and buried treasures we might come across?  As usual, Caltrans will provide the safety equipment, bags and pickers.  SOFA will provide coffee, water and snacks for our campaign.

Can't make it? Then consider SOFA membership.

Thanks as always for your support, I will be able to provide updates on the Nestle/BlueTriton water diversion hearing before the State Water Board, concerns about Snow Valley groundwater well water diversions, and the proposed public land exchange on our national forest with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.

Our Statewide event cleanup effort begins at 9 am and finishes by 11am.   

Where:

*Meet at Red Rock Wall*, large turnout about 1 mi east of the Hwy 18/Lake Gregory stoplight. 

Look for the blue pick up with SOFA (Save Our Forest) banner will be at turnout.
